“Karen Allen, known for her work in film and theatre, has been a passionate designer and hand knitter since the age of 5. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City at 17 and later returned in 2002 to study machine knitting technology. In 2003 she opened a design studio near her home in western Massachusetts. Karen designs, handmakes and oversees every pattern, fabric and garment in the collection.”
