I listened to the album Ulisses on the way to work and I was moved to tears by the song A Case of You. Inquire within your library for music by Christina Branco. This is how I discovered her.
I had an extraordinarily bad time at work yesterday, and this song came to mind. I considered it even more meaningful after watching several news programs later in the evening. Has everyone gone nuts? What happened to reason based on awareness, whereby consciousness is critical? What about the rigorous use of intellectual skills? It’s bad enough to have to suffer fools, but when fools are promoting ignorance, well that’s just too much to endure!

I happened upon The Priests accidentally today. If you appreciate choral music and opera, you’ll enjoy listening to these three Irish chaps. The attached video clip gives you a short history of this now very successful trio.

I’ve been listening to the Diane Rehm show on NPR. She’s been talking to David Rothenberg about whale songs (learn more about David by clicking on the link next to the second bullet). I was hoping I could link to the show on the NPR website, but it hasn’t been posted yet.
